Our story
The tool we needed didn’t exist.
We looked everywhere for it. Hundreds of tools. Each one saw a piece of the facility. None showed the whole thing.
This is the short story of what we found, and why we had to build it ourselves.
Sound familiar?
You get the questions. Nobody gave you the answers.
- The billIt jumped. Again.Same hours. Same staff. Same season. So why is it higher? Nobody can tell you.
- The 6am callSomething quit overnight. No warning. Now it’s an emergency, and the week’s plans are gone.
- The board meeting“Where is all this money going?”Every eye in the room turns to you. And all you have is the bill.
It’s not your fault. You were never given the view.
Be honest
Sound familiar?
If you run a facility, you’ve probably lived a few of these.
It’s not your fault. You were never given the view.
- The bill jumped, and nobody could tell you why.
- The phone rang at 6am. Something quit overnight.
- The compressor died the week before a big tournament.
- The board asked where the money went. You didn’t have a straight answer.
- You found the heat on in an empty room. Again.
An ordinary day
Four moments. Not one real answer.
- The phone rings.Something quit overnight. Nobody saw it coming.
- The bill lands. It’s up again. Nobody knows why.
- The board asks.“Where is the money going?” You have a guess.
- The facility is empty. The heat is still on. Nobody sees it.
Example day
It’s not your fault. You were never given the view.
The search
So we went looking. Surely someone had built it.
Facilities are some of the most expensive things an organization owns. A tool that shows what’s going on inside them had to exist.
It only had to answer five plain questions.
We figured the only question was which one to pick.
- 01Where is our energy going?
- 02What equipment needs attention?
- 03What’s running when it shouldn’t?
- 04Where are we missing chances to save?
- 05What should we fix first?
What we found
Hundreds of tools. Each one saw one piece.
Bills in one place. Repairs in another. Nobody putting it together.
- Utility billsWhat you spent.
- MaintenanceWhat got fixed.
- ControlsSome of the equipment.
- AssetsWhat you own.
- Energy trackingHow much was used.
- ReportsA look back.
The information was there. The answers weren’t.
Why that hurts
Your facility doesn’t run in pieces. One thing leads to the next.
Energy affects equipment. Equipment affects maintenance. Maintenance affects reliability. Reliability affects operations. Operations drive your costs.
Look at one piece and you miss the chain. That’s where the money hides.
Then it hit us
You can only fix what you can see.
Different facilities. Different equipment. Different people. Same problem, every time.
- Not a technology problem.
- Not a data problem.
- A seeing problem.
Most facilities just couldn’t see enough. So waste stayed hidden, and small problems grew.
So we had to build it
Not once a year. Not once a month. Every day.
A yearly study shows you one moment. A monthly bill shows you twelve. You need to see every day.
And it had to be simple enough for whoever runs the facility. Many don’t have energy managers or engineers on staff.
- Operators
- Maintenance staff
- Busy owners
So that’s what we built. Made for real facilities.
- Set it and forget itInstall it once. It just keeps working.
- Quick to deployUp and running fast, without shutting anything down.
- Easy to usePlain words and clear screens. No training needed.
- Works in the backgroundYour team gets on with their day.
- Works with what you haveNo need to replace your existing systems.
- Designed for real facilitiesNew or old, small or large, simple or complex.
